Sikhlens: Sikh Arts and Film Festival 2023

Calling all art lovers, film enthusiasts, and champions of cultural diversity!

This November 16th-19th, the much-anticipated Sikhlens: Sikh Arts and Film Festival is set to dazzle and unite communities at Chapman University and The Frida Cinema. Prepare yourselves to embark on a journey of Sikh heritage and culture, celebrated through the world of film and art!

We are excited to announce the return of our annual film festival celebrating Sikh arts, books, and cinema across three days at Dodge College and The Frida Cinema. Kicking off with a glamorous Red Carpet Opening Night at Dodge College’s Folino Theater, we will showcase Sikhlens short films followed by a special feature film.

The festival continues for two full days at The Frida Cinema in downtown Santa Ana with back-to-back movies from morning to night. A favorite returning event is our “Creative Sikhs” session, where prominent Sikh creatives in film and literature share their journeys in a Q&A session.

Interspersed throughout both days are short films submitted from talented filmmakers worldwide. We will conclude each day with critically acclaimed Sikh feature films including Jodi, Sardara & Sons, Land of Gold, and Godday Godday Cha. Celebrate the vibrant tableau of Sikh cinema and storytelling at our not-to-be-missed annual festival.
