As a youngster my Dad would always tell me stories of the Gurus, and the amazing battles that took place. He would also tell me about the Sikh Rule and kingdom. This helped open up my imagination as I would paint pictures within my head of these events.

He often mentioned Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Maharaja Duleep Singh. These pieces were both produced as renditions early on in 2011. I did not choose to be as constructive on these pieces or create a concept, I just wanted to portray them both in their unique and original royalty.
