This year six women filmmakers are screening films at our festival. Due to time constraints, we weren’t able to group them all in one session, but in this session each of the three films is directed by an extremely talented woman. You may have met them during the Creative Sikhs session. If not, you’ll have a chance to meet all three during the Q & A panel following their films.

A typical day in the life of a young Sikh American girl unexpectedly becomes a life altering moment in her life, when her family is met with an unexpected turn of events: her father has been brutally assaulted in a hate crime. Coincidentally, it is the 10th year anniversary since the terrorist attacks of September 11th.
The Saint Soldier
Bhai Maharaj Singh’s monument, located in the heart of Singapore, memorializes the first recorded Sikh in Singapore.
